Cheatmode:
At the main menu, press Shift+Alt+A to enable cheat mode.
During gameplay you can now use the following codes:

Increase unit level - [Al + L
Hit all enemies on screen - [Al + Y
Kill single enemy - [Al + Z
Change enemy building 1 on square - [Al + B
Change enemy building 10 on square - [Al + F
Change the character - [Al + C
Destroy enemy fortress - [Al + K
Character increases level - [Al + P
Destroy main stronghold - [Al + G
Change time of year - [Al + S

Extra catapult stone
If you are using a catapult and you have ran out of throwing stone click on the carcass button and choose where you want to fire then before they launch the cow press stop and they'll throw stone instead.

Bonus peasants
You can get lots of extra peasants (more than the limit of 24) by doing the following. Put your Quarries and Oxen to sleep. Now there will be that many more available when buying Swordsman etc. Just wake them up when you are done. This is useful if you don't want to wait until for your Peasants to fill up the campfire, or you just need them right away.

Keep bears away
When bears kill civilians, your popularity decreases. To avoid this, simply build a wood fence around a bear when it appears.

Alternate cheat mode:
At the main menu, press [Shif + [Al + A to enable cheat mode. Repeatedly press one of the following codes while playing a game to activate the corresponding cheat function:

100 popularity and 1000 more gold - [Al + X
Level up one unit - [Al + L
Level up characters - [Al + P
Destroy main stronghold - [Al + G
Destroy the enemy's fortress - [Al + K
Cycle characters - [Al + C
Change time - [Al + S
Debug mode - [Al + D
Faster game play - [Al + Q
Defeat all on-screen enemies - [Al + Y
Defeat selected enemy - [Al + Z
Extra soldiers - [Al + B

Stopping Bear Attacks:
When you see a bear appear or hear of one attacking, just build a wooden wall around it and soon it will die. Or you can send your Archers to kill it, which is a quick way of stopping bears and gaining popularity.

Destroying the Enemy quickly:
In order to destroy your enemy, place as many Archers as you can on the wall facing the sign post. A small number of Archers can take out a reasonable size army.

Unlimited Trebuchet Ammunition
Click 'Launch Cow' and select your target (Wall/Building). The moment you click on the target, click 'Stop'. Your Catapult/Trebuchet will fire a rock! Just note that you need to have cows in store for this cheat to work!

Archers fire farther
During a seige such as "Kill the Rat" or some such, if you set your archers at a spot where they aren't under attack and somewhat near the wall, have them fire at something such as a wall, gate, or tower. Immediately after, click on an enemy or building to fire upon (somewhat close to the area you targeted) and if done correctly, your archers should fire upon the new target. This is useful to make your men fire farther and keep them out of harms way.
